The origin of a B2B document may be a disk file or a database file (if required, AdaptX performs ODBC to access the data). adaptX™ can translate such documents into the recipient's preferred format, e.g. your customers may prefer XML over CSV, FLV, HTML, or TIF, or SQL.

Using the adaptX™ graphical user interface, mapping of these documents is possible, to make the outgoing document contain precisely what's required, e.g. "$12395.00" rather than "123950000", or rather than "123.95" followed by "quantity = 10". More complex mappings are possible too.

Apart from this, adaptX™ can also generate human-readable versions of documents, thus ensuring support for customers who have less sophisticated computer systems. Other features include portability of all your document templates, scalability of your operation, and simple installation from CD (for Windows platforms).

Future development of adaptX™
Although mature as a good B2B communication tool, the adaptX™ team is developing one or two interesting features. These range from simply sending documents to a printer for output, through to web services capability.
