Accelerated Improvements Programme

OverviewXelocity understands the varied needs of its customers. There can be many reasons as to why companies may not be able to commit to a 17-week Supply Chain Excellence Programme engagement, these may include: the need for faster results, a lack of expendable resources over long periods of time, or simply the length of time itself.

High Level Tasks

The Accelerated Improvements Programme covers a number of high-level tasks, these include:

Kick Off Meeting -Training & Education. Resourcing requirements. Planning & Project Charter e.g. scope, project team roles & responsibilities etc Data definition and availability.

Balanced SCORcard - Define benchmarking target companies/industries. Compare Actual performance against Parity benchmark. Perform CHIP Analysis.

Defect Analysis (Defect) - Quantification of major issue areas from the SCORcard metrics. What are the major causes of poor performance? What parts of the business are creating the issues?

Disconnect Analysis (Disc) - A series of brainstorming sessions to further pinpoint areas of concern. Derivation of problem statements. Cause and Effect analysis . Project definition.

Best Practice (BP) - From the previous work, define two key areas to focus on (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Return, Enable) Perform best practice assessment on these selected areas using the CSCMP assessment tool.

Review and Present (Review) - Review all the outputs from the process so far. Compile a list of potential projects. Prioritise the projects in terms of impact and cost to the company. For the top 5 projects define:. Scope and timeframe. High level estimated costs and benefits.
